“Life is about balance, too much and too little can kill”
Life is all about balance. According to a recent study published by the American Sociological Review, 70% of Americans struggle with finding a work-life system that works for them. For many in the workforce, achieving any type of work-life balance, can seem like a myth, especially when technology has made us accessible around the clock. We often underestimate how balance contributes to living a successful and productive life and it can be crucial as a long term indicator of overall happiness.
The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.

Take the example of a successful entrepreneur.
To get optimum results he/she must work tirelessly for its own company in the most efficient and productive manner because the level of competition in their industry is enormous. They need to maintain a discipline and routine towards managing employees, developing their business forward, negotiating with vendors, and dealing with investors. He/she must employ psychology to make sure that they have the right attitude and the necessary mindset to get their work done and then some more for success.
On the other hand, to be able to perform at peak performance level, the entrepreneur has to take care of his personal life as well. He/She needs to spend time with their family, emotionally bond with his /her kids and build is a social time with friends. In order to function at their best, they need to find their balance and take care of themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. Focusing too much on any one facet will catch up with them eventually and backfire to affect other areas of their lives.
How do we best maintain Balance in our lives? The easiest way to remember are these four “Fs” of your life and working on them every day, as far as possible: Faith, Finances, Fitness, Family & Friends.
- Work on Your Faith
Great men are they who see that spiritual is stronger than any material force, that thoughts rule the world. They know faith is the beginning of his own fulfillment.
Meditation can help you achieve some calmness in your daily activities. It improves your concentration and attention, as well as increases your brain’s capacity to reduce sensitivity to pain. Just spending 10 minutes every day to focus on your breath and the move of your body as you inhale and exhale is a good start.
- Stay Connected with Family & Friends
The best times are found when family and friends gather round.
Simple steps like sharing the highlights with your day with spouse and children at dinner table, putting your phone on mute for a while can help you enjoy those precious moments with your loved ones. During the workday, our lives tend to be busy, but we should never be too busy to connect or make a phone call to a parent, sibling, or friend if they need us or maybe just because.
- Take Care of your body
“Take care of your body, is the only place you have to live.” Jim Rohn
A daily regimen of exercise will not only help you to feel energized, it will also make you more productive during the day and get a sound sleep at night. In addition, when you’re feeling stuck, exercise can help trigger your creative side and release some stress. Adding a dose of healthy eating to your routine can help pump up the good vibes.
- Keep your finance healthy
“Financial freedom is a mental, emotional and educational process.” Rob Kiyosaki
Staying on top of your finances can be a skill to learn young which will help you all through life. Right investment tools can help you multiply your good fortune and keep it in your bank. It is important to earn money and smarter to not spend it on trivia.
In brief…
We can all live a balanced life if we attribute proper attention to each aspect of our life without neglecting any – aka achieving Balance.
To the best version of you!
